“I should be over this by now.”

You’re not broken—this is what trauma does.

Even though you tell yourself this… it still feels hard to be present. Unwanted memories show up out of nowhere. Sleep doesn’t come easily, nightmares wake you up, leaving you exhausted and on edge.

You feel like you can’t fully relax. Irritability, frustration, or anger hits quickly, sometimes without warning.

And underneath it all…you carry this heavy sense that something is wrong with you.

You feel worthless. Unlovable.
You second-guess yourself and struggle to trust others.

This shows up everywhere.

At work, it’s hard to focus or even get out the door some days. At home, you feel disconnected from the people you care about most. In relationships, letting your guard down feels terrifying.

Because part of you is always thinking: “What if I get hurt again?”

You try to protect the people you love from ever feeling what you’ve felt. But at the same time, you wonder if anyone could truly understand you, or love you if they did.

So you keep it in. You don’t want to be a burden.

Even when, inside, it feels like you’re screaming…and quietly wondering how much longer you can keep going like this.

You get to have control over your healing.

You don’t have to keep living like this. You can feel more at ease in your body. Trust yourself again. Show up more fully in your relationships and be present with the people you care about.

In our work together, we don’t avoid your trauma, we gently and intentionally face it.

I create a space where you feel safe enough to explore what’s happened… at your pace. Because trauma takes away your sense of control, you get to have it back here. We collaborate, and you have a say in where we go and how we get there. Together, we make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, not just what you chose to show the world.

You’ll learn to recognize your triggers and understand your reactions, not as something “wrong” with you, but as responses that once made sense. From there, we build new ways of responding. Ways that actually support you now. We also focus on rebuilding trust, starting with yourself.

Trauma can disconnect you from your intuition and leave you questioning everything. Part of healing is learning to listen to yourself again… and believe what you hear. And over time, we begin to shift the beliefs you carry about yourself.

Because no one is born believing they are unworthy or unlovable. Those beliefs were learned, and they can be unlearned. You deserve to see yourself differently.

  • Trauma impacts everyone differently. But in general, it impacts both the emotional and mental as the physical aspect of the body. Often this shows up at intense fear, anger, guilt, depression, numbness, feeling detached from others, chronic fatigue, insomnia, headaches, and physical aches. But it can show up as other ways as well.

  • No, I work under the belief that trauma work does not have to include talking about the actual traumatic event(s). But if you want to share your trauma, I’ll always be willing to hold space for that. You’ll be in the driver’s seat and have complete control over if or when you share and how much you feel comfortable sharing.
