Clinical Supervision for PLMHPs in Nebraska seeking supportive supervision to achieve full licensure
Hi, I’m Markie.
I graduated from University of Nebraska with my Marriage & Family Therapy degree in August of 2019. I went right to work in Fremont, Nebraska. With Fremont being considered rural and serving the smaller surrounding communities, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of individuals, families, and couples. Shortly after receiving my LIMHP, I became the Intern Program Supervisor at my place of work. Then I followed my supervisor when she went out on her own. I then created the Intern Program at the new location and I have great pride in where I left that program when I left that agency in December of 2025 to start my own private practice. It was a joy to watch the growth that occurred in the interns I had the opportunity to mentor. During my time as the Intern Program Supervisor, I have completed multiple supervision trainings. I lean towards CBT orientation. CBT is how I conceptualize cases, but pull interventions from other theories based on the client’s needs.
My goal for every clinician I supervise is for them to become the best therapist they can become. I believe that no two clinicians are the same and it is my job as a supervisor to help facilitate this growth. I don’t want you to become a therapist like me, I want you to embrace your authentic therapist self and find fulfillment in that. I believe the best supervision is collaborative where everyone feels safe to bring up any concerns or questions. I’ll never claim to have all the answers, but I’ll work with you to help and guide you to find the answers.
