Yes! There is added confidentiality for your treatment and insurance cannot dictate treatment if they aren’t paying for it. The flexibility of not having a diagnosis label or the diagnosis being on your medical record. See blog post about benefits of private pay for more details.

No, I’m currently a Telehealth only therapist.

Intensives are longer therapy sessions over a shorter period of time. It compresses weeks or months of traditional therapy into a few days or weeks. It is aimed at achieving breakthroughs, reducing avoidance behavior, and resolving complex issues faster than weekly therapy.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in August of 2019 with a degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and started working in rural Nebraska for the following 6 years. I worked mainly with adults and couples. I became the Intern Program Supervisor and created the Intern Program at my place of employment. The first appointment is the get to know you appointment. I’ll give you the opportunity to ask me any questions you have about the process. I’ll get information about your background, what you are looking to get out of therapy, and well set some goals for therapy together.

It really varies on the issues and concerns that bring you to therapy. This is something that we can discuss in more detail during the first session and as treatment progresses. Therapy is not a one size fits all so the treatment length varies.
